Recently Im thinking to upgrade my phone amp but my budget is kinda limited....So here are my options:

Grace Design M902
HeadAmp GS-1
Luxman P-1
Rudistor RPX-33 (my wallet wont be happy for this..)

My phones are D7000 & RS1, so what im looking for is a SS amp with input source select (I have to connect my amp with both of PC end & CDP end) which good for low impedance cans....

Please gimme some advices, thanks all you Head-fi'ers~~~

I suspect you cant go wrong with any of those. I can only vouch for the Luxman (and I certainly do!), but I have seen other members rave about the Grace/Denon combo. You could search on that one.

One point about the Luxman though, is that it has room for two inputs- one RCA and one balanced. The input select button is on the front but if you are trying to get two RCA sources into the amp, you will need to put some other external input selector in the chain.

Good luck!

I own the GS-1 and use to own the RPX-33. I was needing to sell one of those 2 to help financing the purchase of an Apache. My first choice was to sell the GS-1 but that amp is on my nightstand and unfortunately the RPX-33 was to big to replace the GS-1 so I sold the RPX-33.

IMO the RPX-33 is a superior amplifier starting that is dual mono discrete design. The sound of the RPX-33 is more musical and the GS-1 is more analytical. One issue you are going to face based on your requirements is that the RPX-33 has just one input and the GS-1 has two.

If you can live with just one input I would go for the RPX-33. By the way, one of my headphones are the D7000 so I know the sound of both amplifiers with those headphones.

If you are interested in a RPX-33 I think the person who bought it from me changed her mind and will go to tubes. PM me and I send you her email address.

Good to know the sound signature of these two amps. Thanks.
I saw some pictures of RPX33 before and I think it does has 2 set of RCA input and there is an input select switch on the rear panel. Am I wrong?

Yes, you are wrong. It has one input and two outputs. the outputs are a direct bypass (loop) and a Pre-amp ouput. The switch you see in the back is a gound lift switch and in my case did not do anything for me and according to Rudistor here in America really does not matter.

There is no switch in the back of the EV08 version of RPX33.

I guess Rudi removed it from that new version since it was not doing much. The MkII version has it.
