my m50s have recently started to rip along the top of the headband, i was wondering if theres anything i can do to prevent this from happening in the future or happening to my ear pads.

I'd show you the condition of my M50s, but it's NSFW. The thing is a tank. The plastics and padding will disintegrate to nothingness before the drivers die. I'm thinking of cutting off the headband and buying a generic replacement.

I was searching the internet and found a thread from people in Asia that looks like a great solution.. But i dont know what material they are using..  Take a look, if you know, let me know

That looks very nice. Far more practical than tearing it up. Next time I'm near a Daiso, I'll check it out.

Do you know what that stuff is? Ive been trying to look for it in the states and have had 0 luck.. I am sick of finding black specks on my shirt..

I know this is an old thread, but can you provide more information as to where you got that pad/cover? My M50s are starting to flake pretty bad and I was looking for a simple solution like this. Thanks!
