Hello there audio nerds.
Seems like just yesterday I decided to join the closed-back camp on the go, trying to see if I prefer over ears to IEMs. And yep..I do.
Long story short....my m40x have held up well for the last 6 years but there time has come.
I am looking for a set of closed back cans that can be somewhat mobile for me to listen to music on the go and at work.
Budget ~150$
Contenders that I have found in my area (I live in a small mountain city in Romania, but can order):
Mackie MC-150/250 - bit of a dark horse but with very good reviews.
AKG K371/361
Sony MDR 7506
Sennheiser 280 PRO
DT-770 PRO 80 ohms (yeah, not mobile but everyone says they are built like a tank, maybe I can make them work).
I care utmost about good sound quality. I like soundstage, though on closed back I know that is a compromise.
Right now I am leaning towards the AKG K371

Name other models as well, maybe I can order them out. I am in no rush and have no problem ordering from China if need be.
They will be used with a dap that has decent power (400mw@32) so higher impedances are not a problem.
