I currently use any of the following headphones:
1) Sennheiser HD25 IIs
2) V-Moda M80s (love the sound but they're uncomfortable, I don't think I'll keep them)
3) ATH-M50s (for home use only, slightly too big and not enough isolation)
I listen to mostly to rocky/bluesy/heavy stuff, and I constantly wear my headphones around my neck. I also have them on for roughly 6hours a day on average.
What's important to me is to tame the treble of the Senns and give my ears a slight break. I LOVE the sound signature of the M80s, but they're truly uncomfortable to me and don't isolate very well (then again, against the HD25s there's not much out there that's better). Clarity, bass, soundstage are fine on the HD25s (though soundstage could always be improved ).
Which would you advise, for those that have both?
Thanks!
