I formatted the player through the pc trying to update the firmware and now the player is saying (invalid/missing file). What do I do now to get it back in normal working order?

So no one knows what to do if they formatted a harddrive player and afterwards it doesn't work correctly?

the model is a MR-100.

No not yet because, Rockbox isn't finished yet for the M:Robe MR:100. but thanks for the link again.

Did you run the installer (xxx-patcher or something) for rockbox after you put the file onto the root? I've forgotten to do that a few times

No, I just read the thread and they said it that RockBox wasn't functional yet on the M:ROBE yet. So I didn't try it. I Didn't even see a link for me to download the bootloader and all that.

Oh whoops, I missed that bit of information. I'm sure there's a way to restore it to factory settings, similar to an iPod. Did you e-mail the company and see what they have to say about restoring the firmware?
