Just curious to know if anyone has been able to compare the two. I've used the transit as a transport for a long while now with notebook but bringing home a G5 from work and wanted to know if I'm better off without the conversion from usb via transit or straight out of the optical out from the board (worried about jitter, etc.) What does everyone suggest?

The thing about the G5 optical out is that it upsamples to 24/96, so if your dac can take that, it should be better imo
