Hey all,

I was just wondering, for all of the people who have used the M audio Super Dac, what were your impressions of it?

Is it worth its price (approx $200)? OR is the DI/O a better deal (without mods)as far as sound quality is concerned?

I am looking into buying an affordable dac for my setup to see if it would improve the sound of my changer and even my 955.

Thanks

D

I have the M-Audio SuperDAC.
I used it with various pcdps, such as the Optimus 3400, Sony D-303, and the Kenwood DPC-72.
I preferred the sound through the SuperDAC over the line-out of the cd players.
To me, it was well worth the money I paid for it.
I have never used an Art DI/O, so I can't compare them.

I have since upgraded to a Shanling CD-S100 cd player and have not tried the SuperDAC with it.
I was planning on selling it, (It's in the Gear For Sale Forum) but maybe I'll get it out and try it with the Shanling.
