I'm looking for the best sounding bass and mids, best isolating headphone of the bunch for usage with ipod!

I've been searching for weeks now ... it seems to be difficult to find one who has it all!

tnx,
j

i own the d1001, and beyer dt 770 and 150. Unamped with an Ipod I prefer the 1001. I haven't heard the m-audio.

I know from experience the ES7s do not isolate particularly well. If outside noise is slightly loud, you'll probably hear it.

I hear that the Denon D1001s isolate even less, don't know about the others.

I myself just ordered a pair of 1001's... Mainly for use in bed via my Sony Player. I wouldve gone with HD25-1 II's but i have no need for the added isolation etc.

You could maybe look at an E5 amp and use a LOD out of your Ipod with some HD25's since they are probably your best bet for isolation. Even the Q40's might do the job.

Yes,

I heard the hd25 is quite the best for isolation, but I've also heard that the sound is quite "monitorish" and I like headphones with a hifisound and profound bass and mids. That's why i still haven't found the perfect match for me!
