Hi Guys, I was looking through the M-Audio site and came over these:

anybody have any experiences with them? I expect good things from M-Audio, I wonder how these compare to Etys, Shures, UE, etc.

Interesting, I had no idea M-Audio was selling IEMs. According to that link it's using UE guts, so I guess that would be the reference point for comparing them to other IEMs.

This (I think) has been discussed before.

My "educated guess":
IE-30 = Super.fi 5 Pro
IE-20 XB = Super.fi 5EB
IE-10 = Super.fi 3 Studio

I would hardly consider any super.fi IEM to be reference quality.

Just like Bose claims to deliver new levels of audio performance, but that's besides the point and highly subjective.

Look exactly like repackaged super.fi's to me and at $299.00 you can buy 5 pros now for $169.00 I dont get how they are gonna sell these to anyone.

dang,,

i got so excited since we have a local distro of m-audio here in the philippines. and seeing how altec lansings im716 is being sold below the etymotics. but checking m-audio's site, im wondering why their prices are waay higher than UEs. i thought rebranding is supposed to be lower.

they say they want to further penetrate the retail market. but with those prices, i doubt it.
