I recently posted a thread asking for help in choosing external cards that support at least six channels of analog outputs + digital outs that support dolby/dts passthrough. I don't think it received any replies. Anyway, I've narrowed down my choices this time, so hopefully someone (anyone?) can help me choose out of these two external cards (in terms of sound output quality alone). Which would you choose out of ESI Gigaport AG and M-Audio Audiophile Firewire? (If you have experience with either of these, please share.) It will be used with headphones as well as a good 5.1 home theater system.
