I'm looking for a cheap pair of closed back headphones to pair with the Fiio X1. I'll add a budget friendly amp later. I would like to know which pair of headphones are a better bang for the buck? LyxPro HAS-10 vs. Monoprice 108323 vs. JVC HARX900 vs. JVC HAS660? Which ever one I purchase I'll replace the ear pads with Brainwavz HM5 pads. Also, I mostly listen to Hip-Hop and R&B, I like bass but not muddy bass if you know what I mean. Thanks!

Thanks.
Also are they neutral sounding headphones? Not bright or anything like that?

Have you also heard of the ATH-ES700? If so what do you think of them?

I do not remember the HSR-1000 as bright, fairly decent amount of bass.
I gave my HSR-1000 to my nephews, so have not even used them in a year.

I do like the Audio Technica sound, I have the ATH-ESW9, ATH-WS99, ATH-A900X, ATH-W1000X headphones, but not the ES700 (but I guess I would like them if I listened to them).

I have another question, are the Audio Technica ATH-M50 and M40X better then the HSR-1000?

Actually I think I'm going to go with Senheiser 518 or the AKG K240 with the Fiio X1. Which amp would work best with either phone, JDS Labs CMOYBB or Fiio E17K?
