It was officially released in Aug at the Intel FPGA Conference in China. A pre-production machine was shown in Sept at the GuangZhou HiFi Show. It finally arrived just few hours ago.

By adopting FPGA technology and utilising 4 r2r chips, Luxury and Precision LP6 Ti is no ordinary DAP; huge power output (800mW @32 Ohms), is designed to meet the demand of big cans.

Sound quality is beyond description.

The only bad news is, the total number to be made is again limited to 199, and a large portion has been pre-ordered.

Luxury and Precision has not disclosed the details of the chips that are being used. When I asked them the reason for such non disclosure, they said they had spent a lot resources to test different chips, before selecting the one to be used. They therefore decided to put a cover on the chips, so that competitors would have to spend longer time to catch up (or copy... : ) ).

so much for the time being, will write a proper review idc.

for sharp hp400h..one with two drivers (80mm n 50mm)...more than sugficient loud music can be heard with mid gain and about 40% vol.

now switching to philips n6326...an electret headphones that normally cant be played without amplification...LP6 Ti does hv to fire its full power..high gain plus 100% vol..but the result is vy impressive...this old philips would produce distorted sound if power is insufficient...but with a full-throttle LP6 Ti, just nice music..beautiful sound from electret headphones as one would be expected.. i normally use an O2 plus a pioneer HA100 for this philips...now just LP6Ti...

pioneer se100J was released in the 70s..I had tried to connect LP6Ti directly to JB100, but no good...power output from LP6Ti was not enough... added a balancesd amp to complete the job. In this case, it was the Defiant from VE, maker of Zen n Monk earbug...

Is there a reputable place where this can be ordered and how can you tell which version is which (or how to ensure you don't pay more and still get the base model)?

Seems there are multiple versions of the LP6(ti) with either an AK4414 chip, dual AD5790 chips, or four unnamed R2R chips........

there are two versions of LP6...They are both based on intel's fgpa structure. The Ti version is the one with 4 r2r chips, and is the only version that is available. When placing his order, the buyer may specify the areas he wantsto fine tune. In my case, I had increased the lpf power output to 6v from 5.7v. Objective was to provide more juice in output, which would give better control..downsize battery duration...The Ti version is also the limited version. Only 199 would be made. I met LP people some 5 weeks ago, they were very happy because theyhad sold over 150 pieces already, despite the high price tag(rmb 39800).

For the Ti version, you have to place order directly.with the factory. They would send the machine to you by EMS.

The unlimited version is not yet released. The revised target is b4 chinese new year. Am going to review the pre-production sample in early Jan. Price was tentatively fixed at rmb 29800. This version can be bought from high street retail stores in major cities across china.

If you need their wechat or QQ for contact, let me know.
