Somewhat positive that my Focal headphones sound bit clearer from SE output, might be some impedance difference causing that between balanced and SE.
Well, my homemade « backup / linear PSU » for the P20 is ready.I think it might be easier and more cost effective if you got an lps.
Aliexpress alot of options under $100 or beatechnik has the lhy audio lps for a bit more.
I have the ifi i power x on my p20 and it's a huge upgrade from the stock ps but a lps does improve it a little further.
I use the a sengterbelle toroidal core lps but if i could go back I'd opt for the rcore version.
12v and 5v stabilized, 10 buck. enough for now.

I recently bought a P20 after reading reviews
I switched the power supply for one off an old monitor(work well)also tested with a IFI power supply and I could not differentiate between the two
I got a matched pair off GE 5760 (white ones) with some tube saver on the way from china.
I listen it via a oppo 203 with a liner power supply fed via the RCA out put and split
One goes to the P20 and the other to a IfI zen can sig 6xx
I tried a pair of planetary headphone(only 32ohm) first and it ran them well
Then I tried a pair of modes Grado 325x(with ps500e driver in) and balanced cable
The grado sounded very good especially Led Zeppelin 1'
I was wondering if I could uses the 4.4mm balanced out put from the Ifi zen and contact it to the balanced in xlr on the P20
The zen output impedance is 0.42-0.61ohm but can not find the input impedance of the loxjie balanced xlr input.

The volume pot on my P20 is not registering correctly. Most of the time, when turning it to the right for whatever reason it turns the volume down instead so i have to fiddle with it for a while to get the volume up. Before i open it up, anyone know if this is just something simple like maybe dust or something inside of it that needs to be cleared out so it "registers" properly?

It's not a potentiometer, it's a digital optical encoder, with a center push button.

Okay so do I clean this or replace it or what? It's not a potentiometer, it's a digital optical encoder, with a center push button.

If the encoder isn't sealed, you may be able to clean it.
I'm not sure what the part number is, for ordering a replacement device.

How about the recent ones? I believe the output impedance of P20 had been lowered.I traced out some of the circuit back in 2020, and found that there are 47Ω current limiting resistors in series with Pin 1 of the four op-amps, which drive the L+, L-, R+, R- outputs - but they're inside the feedback loop of each op-amp, so they shouldn't show up as an output series resistance.

That's news to me. First time I've stopped by this thread in a few years. Decided to put my 2018 P20 back into my headfi system after a long hiatus. How about the recent ones? I believe the output impedance of P20 had been lowered.
This is still a really nice balanced headphone amp for the money.

You should be able to do it. You need a 4.4mm male to dual XLR male cable. The 4.4mm goes to the ifi dac output and the XLR males go to the Loxjie P20
inputs.

I got a lot off bad clipping noise in-between tracks

I've used the 4.4mm male from my ifi Zen Dac Signature to 2x XLR male to the xlr inputs of my Loxjie P20 without any problems.
It works quite well. I'd check to make sure that all of the connections are properly seated. Especially the 4.4mm male which needs
a little bit of force to fully connect. If that doesn't work and you've ruled out any other possible problems with other audio components
in your headfi system, you may want to speak with someone at ifi audio or Loxjie. Best of luck
