Hi,

Thanks for the advice I received last time I posted here, still very much enjoying my Denon C710s!

I am in the market for some in-ears, a cost of somewhere around £50 (give or take) as a gift for my girlfriend's dad.

This guy has a serious hi-fi system (all Cyrus components, including pre-amps on every component & Dynaudio floorstanding speakers) so he appreciates good sound, but for some reason he only has stock earphones. Perfect opportunity to buy him some earphones as it is his birthday coming up.

So i'm looking for something balanced, not particularly bass-heavy (he is over 50 so will obviously not be listening to techno or drum & bass). Just a set of earphones that give a good all round performance on a variety of music genres.

Thanks very much for any help you can give.

You might also consider the Maximo Im-590. Great all-around with stellar build quality, good comfort, plenty of accessories, and balanced sound.

Those Klipsch phones seem perfect.

Will have a read around at the others but will probably end up ordering those.

Cheers!

If you can sacrifice bass: Etymotic 6i, RE2.
