I'm slightly at a loss through all the tremendous information that's to be found here.

As of now I'm looking at a reasonably sized on-ear/over ear set that should:
  • Cost +/- 50 EUR at maximum
  • Be suitable for movie watching (Netflix through laptop/tablet/smartphone)
  • Be suitable for light gaming (PSP/Nintendo (3)DS/Playstation Vita)
  • Be compact enough to travel, but can still be slightly larger (not as large as my Superlux HD330)
  • Isolate some, but not necessarily all noise
  • Be comfortable enough to wear for extended periods (2 or so hours)
Music listening is of lesser importance.
Though I've never modded a headphone before, I'm willing to try this.

Thank you for your insights!

I bought it through Aliexpress. I'm very happy with the comfort but... the left earcup produces a more silent sound than the right one. If i press the headphone closer to my head, making the inside touch my ear, the earcup makes some "clicking" sounds and the problem disappears... as long as I'm pushing the earcup to my head... :frowning2:

I think something's positioned incorrectly (the driver or something) and I'd like to inspect it closer, but I don't know how to open up the headphones without breaking them.
Returning them to AliExpress would cost a lot, so I'd like to solve it myself if possible.

I have never taken apart one of those headphones before, so I am not going to be of much use to you. Not sure if you can even take the pads off and then replace them again. What country are you in?
