I have recently purchased some Audeze LCD-2 rev2's. I don't currently have an amplifier from which to run them. I am looking for a low cost i.e. < £200 amplifier to pair with the LCD-2's. I have read the odd comment here and there saying that the Objective 2 amp is up to the job. Can anyone tell me how this amp compares to some of the higher end gear such as the LF?

Pick up a vintage 70's receiver, there's a good thread here with great advice.

the o2 objective 2 amp is excellent I use it with no complaints with LCD-2 r2 although I do have turn it up a bit on the volume dial, but don't be worried about that. I checked with the designer (he who shall not be named) that the amp has more than enough power for the LCD-2. I bought it from jdslabs.

I have used the Objective2 to drive a pair of HE-500s with no problems.  I have compared it to the Schiit Lyr ($450USD) and the Burson HA-160 ($800) and it can hold its' own.  Is is as good?  Depends upon your criteria to judge by, but for $150 I don't believe you could do better.
