Here's the story. I just joined emusic (love it btw) and I discovered their free music downloads. But I don't want to add these mp3s to my regular music collection. For simplicity and space I'd rather have them in a separate folder and on a separate player.

So this is what I'm looking for:

- Flash memory with at least 1G
- Good SQ (that's a given around here)
- The ability to delete files off of the player
- At least 15 hours of battery life
- Color screen
- UMS
- Under $100 preferably but willing to go up to $120 this includes S&H

I'm considering Cowon U3 2G $94.99 (refurbed from amazon) Although I'm not sure if you can delete files off the player.

Try Iriver T30. It is available at NewEgg for less than $100 for 1 gig model. Sound is amazing once you upgrade the SRS Wow to version 2.0. Earphones included are superior to others.

You will not be disappointed.

Thanks for the response but it's not a color screen

Yea I can't seem to find any DAP that does that. Looks like I'll have to take that out oF my requirements. Perhaps a DAP that can rate on the go like the iPod then. Does anyone know if the U3 does this?

Might want to check out the Samsung K3..... $119 at Best Buy, but it's 2MB..

Amazon had them for awhile, don't know if they still do.

i don't think Cowon players support the rating system.

you may also want to look into the Sansa e200 series. not sure that it meets all the requirements, but I'm pretty sure it meets most.

Are you running a Mac, and is that the requirement for UMS? If you're using XP, I think you'd like the Creative Zen V (plus)

Meizu M6. You can get a 4GB version for $100. Does everything that you specified and has a terrific sound. It does UMS or MTP, has FM receiver, 2.4" color screen, photo viewing, video playing, 10 band custom EQ, up to 30hrs audio playback time. It support MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC, and OGG codecs.

4GB Meizu M6

If you don't mind, in what way?

Looking at Meizu's website, I'm wary about their tech support which seems non-existent.
