Hello. First time poster here, having an issue. I use Koss Porta Pro Headphones on an Gigabyte G1 Sniper M3 with Soundblaster Recon3D integrated sound.

I get popping sounds at what seem to be low frequencies. It seems a bit random though and doesn't happen to every sound I hear regardless of the frequency. It's most jarring in video games and seems to happen only in the case of explosions or low rumbling and continuous background noise like engine noises. What I know about the card is that it has an amplifier that supposedly can drive headphones with an impedance up to 150 Ohms and at first I was worried that it might force my headphones too much, but it seems to be doing this even at volume levels I'm absolutely sure the headphones can handle. I changed the drivers with the Microsoft HDAudio Compatible driver and that fixed the problem for most volume levels, but I don't have the Recon3D driver settings and the sound feels a little flat. Any idea what could be causing these pops and how can I fix it?
