I'm looking for suggestions for headphones and a DIY headphone amp.
I'd like to use my turntable, with my BAT VK-P10 and BAT VK-50SE.
Unfortunately, I need to ware a hearing aide in my right ear. My right ear is around 18db lower than my left.
Ideally, the headphone would go to a dangerously high level, so that I would not have to use my hearing aide, or be large enough to go over my behind the ear hearing aide. Open headphones would be a benefit.
If I can go simply from my balanced line stage, that would be nice. If not, I'm comfortable with soldering irons; working with SMT is a Royal PITA though.
Tubes on hand BAT Super tubes, 6DJ8 types, 6FQ/CG7, 7DJ8s, 6SN7 types, 5692, 5751s, 12AX7s, 12AU7s, 12AT7a, 12AY7, 12DT8, couple of 6158s, 6L6 types, sweep tubes 6JB6, 6KD6.
