When it comes to hearing differences between lossy & lossless files I don't know how many people take into consideration that a lot of recordings may not have much "appearent" resolution to warrant using more musical playback information. In other words how much ambient information is available in many "studio" recording? There is more information on the lossless file,but how significant it may be will be on an idividual basis. I hate studio recording & try to avoid them like the plague. I think most of us could probably produce studio recordings,but would we care to listen to them is another story!
