So I have a pair of Audio Technica ATHESW9. Great headphones.
Im ready for an upgrade. I really like the sound of Audio Technica-maybe they have an upgraded model?

I picked up Senheiser Momentums. They are great but not comfortable.
Any suggestions?

I like in over or around ear.
I currently use a HIFIMan 901 and my iPhone 5s

Id stay in to 200-300 range.

Thanks so much,
Joel

It will be really hard to upgrade from such a perfect headphone like the ESW9.

All I can say is that you can side-grade by buying headphones more suitable for other genres of music. You can try open-cans rather than your closed-cans; should give a different sense of soundstage. Maybe try out a planar technology headphone; something affordable from the Hifiman line. Or heck, just get the Fostex t50rp, people resell those as thunderpants for hundreds of dollars after modding them. They should be as good as a side grade as any; interesting feeling of very quick bass.
