Right now I have Asus Xonar dgx coupled with m-audio av40s. With Tax time coming up I was thinking i'd upgrade to something better. I could get better monitors/sound card. Been thinking about a soundblaster z to enchance my music experience. and then some better monitors. maybe around $400 total. soundcard is $100. is getting some $300 monitors make sense? would they be a huge upgrade over the av40s? any other suggestions. im not familiar with dacs or recievers. it would be kinda cool st start with something i can expand and build onto later. seems like a cool idea. thanks in advance.
