Hello everybody! I just received my first set of " decent " headphones, which are the Sennheiser 350 Special Editions, while the quality is great I am what I call a bass-head and I'm looking to find another set of cans to replace these, that supply more bass. I picked up a Asus Xonar DG soundcard and it did help, but just didn't provide the bass I was expecting.. Can anybody recommend me some? I am looking into the Sennheiser HD558's/598's but from what I hear the 598's have less bass than the 558's but a better sound-stage. This headset will be used for gaming as well.. I guess I should have mentioned, I'll spend up to about $180.

Have you considered modding the PC350?

Or google "PC 350 hero mod" for youtube vids/instructables and other sources.
 
Probably not as good as a new set of cans, but a lot easier on the wallet

No I'm not doing a mod to a brand new pair of headphones. And roger on the bumpyy

The mod is really easy and reversible. But the lack of bass could also be the amping.
You need need a dedicated headphone amp or a soundcard with one.
