Hello all,
I'm new and I'm hoping to get some direction. I want to invest in some ear buds that have better sound quality than your typical $30 pair. I have been shopping around and have a few ideas.
However, my real question is when I have a pair of good ear buds, how much will the quality of the sound be determined by the playback device? For example, I'm using an old Samsung Galaxy S3 as my mp3 player. Would I notice a considerable difference by buying a newer mp3 player to go with the new headphones? Maybe something like this?

Sorry for being a noob, I'm just not up to speed on the tech.
