Anyone have any good recommendations for a good warm sounding tube amp?  I need something to go good with either the DT880, or the T90.

Things i have been looking at:

Schiit VALHALLA 2

DarkVoice 336SE

LittleDot MK3

Max budget $400.00

Thanks!

Most - but not all - valve amps are warm sounding. Add the Project Ember to your list.

The Valhalla 2 is known to be more on the neutral side. I own one and I don't think it's very warm sounding.

Tube rolling would probably fix that though. The Schiit stuff IMO is also built better than the Little Dot, and you also get 5 year warranty, made in USA, etc.

I own a Darkvoice 3322. And love the sound, I believe the 336 would sound great as well.

Like Justin said, the Valhalla is very neutral for a tube amp.

The Project Ember should be on your shortlist, it's very  nice to tube roll with. And a lot more affordable.

Ended up ordering the Valhalla 2, and it's backordered.

Just for curiosity's sake, why did you go with the Valhalla? Everyone who's expressed an opinion says it's the most neutral of your choices but you say in the OP you're looking for warmth.

Because i turned away from the DT880/T1 , and went with HD700. From what i hear the HD700 like tube amps, but don't need the "warmth" that the beyers need.
