Hi everyone! I am really hoping this subgenre exists. So far I haven't found any.

The following song has what I'd like to find but it's just a brief section -- from 1:23 to 2:10

Any ideas?

I don't believe such a beast exists, though undistorted metal sounds a lot like surf rock. Especially black metal.



There's a few of these undistorted metal songs floating around YouTube.

Played straight Sacred Reich's Surf Nicaragua and M.O.D's Surfin' M.O.D. are the closest things I can find that would fit under a hypothetical "Surf Metal" genre. I got to see Sacred Reich this past fall, they still kick ass after all these years!





Some of Daikaiju's stuff can be a little heavy.
