Just got some Hi-Fi man HE 500 headphones and they came with a super thin sliver cable with a clear insulator over it.   The cable works fine but because its braided and thin it has a nasty habit of curling up/getting tangled.

Also because it's so thin and shinny it drives my cat crazy.  Was wondering if you guys could recommend some heat shrink and sleeving that would look BA and  thicken up/protect this cable so I don't have to buy a new one.

I believe lots of people put a nylon sleeve over the headphone cable.

Where do you buy a nylon sleeve?

I've never bought the stuff myself.
Nylon sleeve can be Paracord (used for parachutes), or Braided Nylon Sleeve, I'm guessing there is also Braided Cloth Sleeve.
Ask in the Head-Fi DIY (Do It Yourself) Discussion thread.
Any big thread were they talk about headphone mods would be a place to ask.
Lots of listing for braided nylon sleeve (or sleeving) on the web.
I just found 54 listing on eBay for Nylon Braided Sleeving.

I'm pretty sure that this is the stuff that I've been using for years.  Much nicer than standard Techflex, but doesn't expand as much so you need to choose the size carefully for your application.  I think I have 4 or 5 sizes in order to cover a wide range of projects.
