I'm looking for a new pair of headphones for the gym to replace the Sony MDRZX110 ZX Series that I currently use. I like the Sony's but I'm ready for an upgrade.

Requirements:

- In the sub $50 range
- On Ear (proffered) or Over Ear
- Comfortable and stays on well
- Durable, sweat resistant, shock resistant
- Not too gaudy
- Good sound with an phone or ipod
- Strong, clear bass

I would also really like them to be bluetooth. This isn't a requirement but highly desired as the cord can be a pain when working out.

The Sony's did almost everything really well. The only things missing were that the bass was a little weaker than I would like and they aren't bluetooth.

For working out I listen to mostly hard rock, classic rock, a little rap, and I'm starting to add some heavy metal.

What I'm looking at, though I haven't looked that much:

- Koss PortaPro (not bluetooth, but I might get them just for the looks!)
- SoundMAGIC P21 (not bluetooth)
- Bluedio Turbine T2s Wireless Bluetooth Headphones with Mic, 57mm Drivers (this is what I meant when I said "gaudy")

Any recommendations for these criteria? If there are some headphones that do all this but are above the $50 range I will consider them.

The koss PortaPros would be great (haven't tried the these), but you can get the KTXPro1 titanium ones for around $13 and they look lighter and easier to wear. I used the own the titanium and the sound quality was phenomenal, easily beating out my sennheiser HD380 pros. So, I imagine the PortaPros might sound even better for a bit of extra heft.

I really like the looks of the PortaPros, and I wouldn't mind a bit of extra heft as long as they stay on pretty well.

I've never owned open headphones, how bad was the sound leak on your Titaniums? Is it worth considering bothering people, in a gym that assaults their ears with awful music anyways?

The sound leakage shouldn't be bad so long as it isn't blaring, IIRC. Probably the only thing others will hear is a little indiscriminate treble that sounds like white noise with a beat to it.
