I'm looking for over-ear, open-back headphones with a wide and deep soundstage, accurate imaging, neutral bass, and emphasized treble. I'm trying out headphones for gaming, so this is the sound signature I want to try out next. I'm looking for something cheaper than the HD700. I use Magni 2 Uber, Modi 2 Uber, and Creative X7 as DACs and amps.

I recently got the M1060. They amazed me right away in gaming. Music......they are awesome.
I would say the DT880 might suit you perfectly. It has a good stage and is fairly neutral overall other than some accentuated treble. You might read about it and see what you think. It could work for you.

How is the build quality? There are rumors of issues.
They have been revised to iron some issues. They are good, no problems to report.

HE400S very nice and add the focus pads have used mine for over a year now without any problems or blemishes
Don't know about the Monoprice but none of the others come close to the soundstage or sound of the 700's. I say save your pennies a bit longer and go for the 700's. Was at a meet this weekend and the three others there have never heard the 700's and all thought they would hate them from what the heard here. They all loved them and one bought a pair the next day. Just saying.
