Hi guys,
Thanks for all the responses to my old thread about me looking for a source for under $500. But now the $500 has turned to $300=/. So i have two options I am looking at:
1. full mod my 3960 that I already have or
2: Buy a 963sa from bh
Which of these options would be better?
My amp is an mpx3 and headphones are hd580s

I wont have the option of modding the 963sa anytime in the near future.

If any of you have heard both, please leave ur impressions here. Thanks

FWIW, I had 963sa and MSB Dac Link III, and before I sold the 963sa I never used its analog out for Red Book (MSB has a tad more air).

I'm not sure how the tos sounds but in the worst case you get a second had MSB and get better Red Book than 963sa - Assuming you don't need SACD.
