Hey All,
 
I'm looking for something new to use in the office. I have some AKG K702's that I love but miss the punchy pop/rock feel of the Grado SR-80s that I used to have so I'm looking for something new (I'm keeping the K702's). I don't really want the thick cable and build quality issues of the new grado-i models, so is there something you'd recommend under $250? I'd prefer On-The-Ear.
 
I'm considering Beyerdynamic T51P, V-MODA XS, or Audio-Technica ATH-ESW9 but totally open to anything.

Amperiors?  I understand that they are now hard to find; they used to be a very good deal (under $150), refurbished, from the Sennheiser Outlet Store.  "Punchy" is a good description of their sound.

Hm, I hadn't thought about those.
Looks like they're going for about 185-190 now.
 
I've also added Thinksound On1 to the potential list (with the caveat that I'll need an additional cable).

I'd consider some Audio-Technicas but I've only heard the AD900X (which I would recommend personally, but it's not on the ear).
