Well I've kinda been out of the headphone scene for awhile and decided I wanted something new today. Currently I'm using some sony mdr F1s and my receiver but I also have a fiio E9 laying around.I just feel I want to try something new even though I really enjoy the F1. I guess I listen to mostly alternative rock and old school pop. If you guys could recommend some different headphones and maybe some amps to that would be great. I might spend more depending on the headphones but up to $500 is what I'm thinking. I'm looking for a full sized open pair of cans that are really comfortable

I've had a bunch more none that I can really remember and have had an assortment of dacs and amps and what not. 
 
I also enjoyed the K240 Sextette

Why not try the Fidelio X1? Much Detail, very comfortable and easy to drive. Some people don't like because in their opinon the bass amount is not "audiophile" but all in all it's a great headphone.
