I have a wonderful pair of Sennheiser HD 558s that I use for gaming at home and they are AMAZING, but they are open back and leak tons upon tons of noise. I need something closed back that will leak less for when I go places like LANs, or on car trips, etc... I am looking for something no more than $130.

Id get the UE6000. They used to be $200 but they're now $100 on Amazon.

Do you know anything about them from personal experience? Would the Audio Technica M50s be worth the money?

The UE6000 have significantly rolled off highs and they sounded a little boomy to me but otherwise they are a quality product if you like extra bass very comfortable.
 
I actually just ordered the m50's. I wanna see what the hype was about. Judging by the frequency response graph they're balanced enough so that no one frequency is going to overshadow others. 
 
The M50's are probably the best bet for you in that price range from what I've read.
