Looking for a second pair of headphones to keep at work.
I have been using a pair of Sony V6 since 1995 and they are even better after I replaced the earpads with the Beyerdynamics DT250 Velour pads. I really like these headphones and find them comfortable enough to wear for hours. Sometimes more than 8 hours a day.
My first inclination is to get a set of 7506 headphones and another set of velour earpads, but it seemed worth checking if there was a better option these days. It looks like I can get the 7506 + pads for about $85 and I am not willing to spend too much more than that.
At work I mainly listen to baroque and other instrumental classical, mainly just to block out distractions.
Thoughts on the V6
1) The V6 I find very comfortable
2) I find their audio sometimes accurate to the point of being unforgiving (which can be good and bad)
3) They don't have a lot of noise bleed (which is important for my work environment)
4) They are very durable.
5) I have a pretty large head (like I basically can't wear standard baseball caps) and on occasion have found that some headsets don't properly adjust to it.
Any thoughts on what else would be worth considering?
