Hello, new poster, but I've lurked through the forums awhile back before I bought my Grado sr60i's. Recently I've been looking for a pair of headphones to compliment the Grados. I know the Grados are hard to beat in terms of value, but I want something for when I listen to electronica/hip hop (Boards of Canada, Bonobo,90's hip hop etc). What would you recommend for around $100?

Thanks

See if you can find some Logitech UE6000s. They have been on closeout in the US for <$100. Good bassy headphone for those genres :)

Maybe the Sony MDR10R. I had a chance to listen to them at Best Buy and in that environment, they sounded pretty great. Great bass presence without clouding up any of the other frequencies. I own the step up bluetooth version and I think they do a great job with Hip-hop/electronica. The MDR10R are on amazon for $80 right now.

And the Philips Downtown or Uptown are pretty reasonable options IMO. A little cheaper, but very value oriented. Good for those genres too and the music seal works well.
