Hey, I'm looking for a new headphones and I'm kinds new in this.

I opend a thread like this one in Headphones, Earphones and IEM Forum but saw that this is the right forum to ask

I have a lot of travels in buss and trains so it's importent that the headphones will be "closed", small as possible and have folding option, also, spare cable will be nice..

My budget is somewhere near 100$ so I thought about AKG Q460(which cost 101$ where I live) or about AKG K618dj(which cost 95$ where I live) I've been told that 618 have better sound isolation but the 460 have better sound..
Also I've been told that there is better options which I would like to hear about

My music is mostly rock-indie rock, but I do hear almost anything.. jazz, metal, folk, country and more

Thanks

Hello!

At the moment, I can't think of any headphone that is foldable under $100, but if I do, I'll make sure I update you here!

As for now, there are two headphones that I thought it will sound great for your genre, one is Ultimate Ears UE4000 (on-ear) and the other is Sennheiser HD439 (over-ear)

Hope it helps!

Thx alot!
The HD439 is a bit over my budget though, and I've read that the UE doesn't working well with android, is there anything to it?

Also, can I have your opinion why not to go with akg's headphones?

I can't think of why UE doesn't working well with Andriod. Is it possible to link me to the post/website you saw that? Perhaps, he/she mean the in-line remote control does not work with the Android device but it shouldn't be a problem when it comes to sound quality.

So sorry! I have never tried or own those AKG headphones you mentioned above!

You can purchase cable with in-line remote control that work with android at the market and you can try selling the stock cable with in-line remote that work only with Apple
