techno, lounge? hmmm well you could do worse than check out James Holden "At The Controls" (comps) ranging from prog, electro, ambient, indy, trance... worthy of decent audio methinks

It could be worse, I own over fifty albums of just Lounge Music and Lounge Music - Exotica.

There seems to be two kinds of "Lounge Music". You have the Louis Prima kind of Lounge Music and you have the Martin Denny (Exotica) kind of Lounge Music.

In the Louis Prima kind of Lounge Music you have Ultra-Lounge Volume 16: Mondo; Louis Prima Wild, Cool & Swingin' (two cd's) and Ultra-Lounge: Vegas Baby!

In the area of Exotica, Arthur Lyman - Yellow Bird or Taboo; Ultra-Lounge Mondo Exotica; Don Tiki (modern recording and still playing in Hawaii) Forbidden Sounds of Don Tiki and Skinny Dip with Don Tiki; Esquivel (a trip) - Four Corners of the World and Other Worlds; Les Baxter - Soul of the Drum; Martin Denny - Best of Martin Denny's Exotica; Pink Martini (modern group) - Hang on Little Tomato.

Techno - Latin: Brazilectro Session One is good; De-Phazz (Any).

Techno - Europop: Stephane Pommpougnac (Hotel Costes Volume 2, La Suite)

All the above are good

there is a song literally called: "Europe's Hottest Dance Mixes" by Techno Hip House
and it'd be a good techno/lounge song I think.
"Children (Dreams Version)" by Robert Miles would also be good.
