I'm trying to find a pair of speakers to set up around my tv. The left side is kinda against a wall, but i tried to pull it as far away as I could to the right. My budget is 40-500 plus the receiver if I need one, I can spend a little more if it is a way better setup that way

What are some options?

HiVi D200. Spend some of the change on acoustic panels especially on the left side, but don't forget the right.

I used Klispch Pro Media 2.1. Why don't you try 5.1 system?

If you're considering floorstanders, I bought a pair of used Klipsch RP-250F within your price range and love them. They're normally $750. I drive them with a Behringer KM750 power amp. Despite only costing $150, it can output up to 750 watts into 8 ohms in bridge mode. Cheaper amps would be fine as well, as they're fairly sensitive speakers.

I have not compared them to other speakers besides cheaper ones myself, but do know that they are regarded as one of the best in their class. Links below, for reference.
