I'm thinking about buying a nicer set of headphones to replace my Sharp MD-33's. I'm actually happy with the sound of the MD-33's for the most part, but I would like more bass, and the super long cord drives me nuts. I use a 4g iPod as my source, straight out of the headphone jack. I'm not interested in a headphone amp.
I'm looking at either the Shure E3c or E4c, or the Ultimate Ears super.fi line (would the Pro or the EB be better?). I like a wide range of music (rock, classical, jazz, alternative, pop, some metal, oldies, etc.), but don't like rap or hip hop.
edit: I also would like more isolation than the MD-33's provide
