I'm currently using my pair of h280s, but the bass isn't there for fps. i wanted a closed headphone style of headphone which takes my grados out, but i find that the sr80s suck at positioning. I've been looking at the SRH440s, i don't want to spend more then 150 CAD on a set. I really like the sound signature of my grados, so i want something semi-similar to that.

there 80$ here, the srh440's not worth the few dollars more? i've tried the SRH440s very briefly and didn't find them too bad.
I do all my home listening on my computer and i only use my grados for portable use.

I seriously doubt you found the SRH440 to be "Grado-like". However, you would be risking less by going with headphones that already have met with your approval.

No problem... FWIR the HD448 isn't bass heavy enough anyway.

I own and use these quite a bit, and they ship to Canada. I don't game (anymore), but I can imagine the HP910 would be good for positional audio and explosions. They are open headphones that I have modified. Only a few here have posted their experience with it. It never became popular, and it's no longer in production. But you can get it for around $50 to $60 shipped to Canada. My system: 0404 PCI > Presonus HP4 > 300 Ohm Resistor > HP910 >

My Audio Technica ATH-A700 are great for gaming. Easy to drive, 9 foot cable, and they sit in the $100-120 range. I have better cans, but I use them for late night MW2 sessions.

No, no, no.....get yourself a pair of Audio-Technica M50's. They kick some serious ass. They are like a 280 with way better bass and even more sparkle on the highs. Very Grado like. You should be able to find a pair for right around $150.
