I love my DT770's and have built a system for them. But variety is the spice of life and it is time to try something new/different.
My current set-up is a DAC1>Earmax Pro>DT770.80. This is the best sound I have heard, but we always want more eh?
The majority of the time I listen to Electronica and Jazz with alternative rock thrown in.
I have tried:
HD650>>>*Yawn*
Sony CD3K>>>*bass?*
AKG240s>>>*Mids too liquid*
Grados interest me, but the reported limited soundstage is a concern. SA5k's are also of note, but bass? There appears to be conflicting reports on this aspect.
So I turn to the forum for guidance. Nothing over $500 please.
