Don't want to hijack this thread, but I'm just starting to think about a vinyl setup and have a couple questions. Right now I own a DAC, headphone amp, 2 pairs of high-end headphones, and Audioengine A5s. I'm not looking to upgrade any of those just yet, but what do I need to set up a turntable to my current, um, setup? I've been looking at the Music Hall tables, if that helps at all. I think I will need a preamp, so does that connect to the DAC or directly to the amp? Or is there another component I need in the chain. Yes, I am clueless about vinyl, which is why I'm here. Don't have a budget yet, but suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance and good luck to the OP in his search.
