Hello! I'm a new member here in Head-fi, read lots lots of articles in regarding the Cowon Z2 and other earphones, but I still have a hard time navigating.
I'm also a proud owner of the Sony MDR-ex57LP (*Gasps)!
It still works after two very long years! But now I feel like I should get a replacement for my Earphones, it's time for it to rest.
On the box (yes, i still have the box), it says "Neck-chain style", that's exactly the style i want.
So I'm looking at a neck chain style earphone priced around $30-50. (Regardless of what company)
The sound quality for the MDR-ex57LP was more than great for me, but i would love to get a new pair that's even better.
If possible, the suggested pair will have a mic? because i will be using this on my brand new Note 2.
Thank you!

I will recommend you SoundMAGIC E10M, be perfect for you.

Here's a review, very good bang for your money. (same IEM but none mic version)

Yes I have a pair, they're keepers for sure. Plus you get a bunch of accessories in the pack, such a heap of tips and carry pouch.

We're the same person.

E10M is the version with mic, Normal version is called E10. Basically the first review you read is the same IEM but the none mic version.

E10M same sound with a mic.

HAHAHAHA i didn't even noticed that! No wonder! I thought it was too good to be true!
I see. so E10M is MIC version and E10 is no mic version.
ok i will check that out then. and this is in "neck chain" style right? Not the Y-chain style?

By "neck chain" do you mean a J-cord?
Then Sony MH1-C may just fits your need perfectly (yeah I know -- de facto recommendation, lol)

oh... Neck chain is the name form the Sony Packaging. So it's called J-cord, ok that makes sense!
(Still reading the glossary)
I seem to find that specific model in Amazon, can you quickly link that in amazon, because i would to get it. It looks nice. the only thing i dont like about it is that it has a Sony Ericsson logo...seems a little bit old. (?)

I believe most ppl got them from eBay (the price should be around $25-30) I got mine from a mobile accessory shop. And no, the MH1C doesn't have Sony-Ericsson logo on it. Only the older model MH1 "LiveSound" has it.

If I understand correctly, the MH1C = MH1 with TRRS plug :)
