Massive Attack???
Portishead?
Goldfrapp-this will be right up your alley

The music you have is quite eclectic...you should definitely try some Sigur Ros as well, although you probably already know them.

Big push for Dead Can Dance (really any album but the self-titled album). Any fan of headphones and the type of music you described will love the lush, dark sounds of DCD.

Also, if you are willing to try something a bit more electronic, incredibly lush, and with wonderful dark vocals but lyrics tinged with a bit of hope, you may want to try exploring a relatively new sub-genre of synthpop known as "futurepop".

Best starting points:

VNV Nation - "Empires" and "Futureperfect"
Assemblage 23 - "Storm"

VNV Nation actually coined the term "futurepop", and "Empires" is one of those perfect records, IMO. Meaning I believe it is absolutely perfect at what it tries to accomplish.

So actually it gives credit to both. BUT, this is wikipedia, so as always, take it with a grain of salt. I love Apoptygma Berzerk's music, but his vocals really grate on me, making it difficult to listen to. Sounds very Jimmy Eat Worldish (the vocals that is).
