Hi all;

Not sure if this the right forum, but...

I'm looking for a sound file of a record player needle starting on an lP (You fellow old timers know what I mean-that rumbling noise and then a bonk.) and the sound of the record ending on a manual turntable. That whirr, click, whirr click.

(Just reread the above paragraph and it sounds like a monty python skit.)

I have a mac Cube that I can't plug my turntable into, so wondered if any of you could send me these sounds.

Thanks-and to all my fellow canucks-happy Thanksgiving!

why not just record it from an old "record player".One of those cheesy record changers is what you need,the ones that drop the record,hit it with the stylus,and then fail to reset at the end of the record.If you don't know someone that has one you could probably pick one up for about five bucks in a second hand store.

Thanks for the reply. Making the sound isn't the problem-mu manual turnatable does it every time. I just can't get the sound into my computer.

AH HA !

Simple dude,take the feed from the tape out of your preamp/integrated amp/receiver and feed it to the line input of your sound card
