I got a pair of klipch s4s for 60 shipped. They sound amazing for the pricetag. Excellent bass, moderate mids. Top notch for 60 $ (rock/electronic)

To add to my comment, these do not fall out, very easy to get put in. Plug 'n play if you will. If you're willing to go over budget I would seriously look into these.

Apple In-Ear (ADDIEM), about $30 on eBay from legit sellers. Excellent for the price.

Klipsch S4 make my ears bleed with their harsh highs. YMMV.

I listen to pretty much everything but my preference is for mids/vocals to be the standout. Bass should be there but not drown out the mids. Also, I prefer ones that have very little simbliance(sp?). At a certain listening volume everytime someone says a word that has an "s" in it it sounds painful.

Honestly, that's the ADDIEMS. Forward but not dominating midrange, clear but not forward bass, and clear but not harsh highs (no sibilance).

If you can push for a few extra cents: http://www.amazon.com/MEElectronics-Clarity-CC51-BK-Ceramic-Headphone/dp/B004OBZ2UE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1316015508&sr=8-1
They're available in both black and white. I originally paid $100 for the version with the microphone, shipped, and it was worth every penny. There are plenty of reviews of the CC51 around here as well, and for under $51 they're a steal.
