Hey everyone, long time reader, haven't posted too much but sure have absorbed a lot from this forum!
Last summer I bought a Creative X7 for mixed multimedia use and gaming, and in that vein it has been brilliant, but I am now unable to send audio over USB-C from my Pixel 2 XL to the DAC. One side is not recognizing the other as an audio device etc.
I just upgraded from a Nexus 6p and had no issues routing audio through that phones USB-C port. With the pixel, it will only play through the device speakers. When I connect it via Bluetooth, it will stream but I would like it to be higher quality and use the X7 as the DAC since the Pixel doesn't have a DAC.
I have been scouring all over the net but cant find anything concrete on this.
Enabling developer mode on the phone and changing its USB to an audio source causes the X7 to power cycle.
Really not sure what to try at this point. I am hoping someone here has had a similar experience using an external DAC on a Pixel 2.
Current setup is a regular edition Creative x7 and Sennheiser HD6XX or AKG 220PRO MKII
