Currently I have a pair of these
http://www.amazon.com/Skullcandy-Hesh-Discontinued-by-Manufacturer/dp/B0071369KE/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1433132754&sr=1-8&keywords=skullcandy+paul+frank
for about a year or two. Good headphones, but about a month ago when the summer started my ears became shockingly sensitive to how fast the heat would circulate inside the pads. I couldn't even spend 15 minutes with them on without my ears wanting to commit suicide - and this is with the air on. But I did notice while looking for other headphones how little room these headphones give your ear to breathe

Right now I'm using my sister's headphones
.
They're pretty cheaply built, but one thing I do like about it is the ear shape within the pads (and I guess the pad material as well) since it doesn't overheat my ears at all. It's slightly warm, but nothing that bothers me. So something similar to this ear pad shape or better is what I'm looking for, as well as a good material that will let my ears breathe for longer durations on the computer.

Also looking for:
- Detachable cord
- Good sound isolation
- (not a necessity, can live without but would be good if it had) wireless option

My friend recommended me this headphone: http://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Siberia-Full-Size-Gaming-Headset/dp/B002Q8IHDQ
which seems good, except the ear space within the pads seems smaller than what I need. Perhaps something like this is a good guidelines

was also recommended this as well http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WSM26UK/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=
but more recs, the better choice I can make

Both the recommendations you already have leak quite some sound both ways. I'd say those are not for you.

My recommendations would be the Sennheiser HD380 Pro (with detachable cable) or the akg k272 (velour ear pads breathe better).
