Hi,
I am looking for Headphones to listen to music and tv on my ipod and my yamaha rx v 530 amp.I listen to Punk,Hardcore Punk and Rock most of the time.(Incubus,Anti-Flag,Good Riddance,Flogging Molly etc.).Everynow and then a Popsong or two.
I read alot in this forum searching for headphones,and the best headphones seem to be the grado sr 60 for under 100$(thats my pricerange),but i do not like there design.
I was also looking around amazon, and found these Sonys
V 700 DJ

I was wondering if they are any good?
Can you recommend any Headphone for my Music and Equipment stated above.
At the moment i have sennheiser mx 400 earbuds.(I would like to get something else then earbuds).
I am not an Audiophile, you can probably tell by the type of music i listen to

The general concensus is that Sony's Vx00 series are bad, very bad.

Those Sony headphones are generally regarded as being very poor you may want to take a look at the Sony V6 (not V600) and also the Sennheiser HD497 and HD515 they should all be within your budget.

Most of the Sony V-series is bad, except the V6. The V6 is $70 at www.etronics.com and is better than either of those headphones you linked to.

so they aren t any improvement to my mx 400s.
I was looking into the v6..they look kinda nice ..might order these

Yep, they'd actually be a downgrade from the MX400, at least based on what I've heard from the V700 and V600.

I have the V700, and they suck. They tend to break quite easily, and they sound crap too. Plus they're expensive (or mine were anyway). Get something else.

i listened to some beyer dynamics 770 today, they sounded good,
but I do not want to run around with that big cans, also i hate the grey
also the st 770s don t get loud enough with my ipod.

Can somebody suggest some good smaller headphones?

I had the V600's and quickly sold them and got a set of MDR-7506, much better!

if you are looking for a closed, dj type of headphone for your multi-home purposes that require efficiency, comfort, affordable price and good sounding, and you want to support an underdog hedphone, then you must check out the pioneer se-monitor10r. apparently i'm the only one who review it and not many other have heard it, but i can justify its value.

search for "pioneer se-monitor10r" once the search function is reenable. otherwise check out the link in my signature for pics of it.
