Tough headphones to replace.  There have been a few pair of AKG K1000 in the FS forum recently, one that could be had for $1200.  You'll not be able to drive them with a Pico, to be sure, but they're of a similar presentation only a little lower treble and more present bass (depending on how you "toe them in").  
 
My experience with the T1 has not made me think it's on par with the HD800, but it does have more of the sound signature you're looking for.  Perhaps you would find it more enjoyable than I did.  
 
If you want a seat in the concertgebouw, you want a lot.  You might be looking into Stax before long.
